Tailings dam in Minas Gerais

Construction of tailings dam a fundamental structure for the operation of the Minas-Rio iron-ore mining project in Conceição do Mato Dentro, interior of the State of Minas Gerais. With a maximum height of 40 meters, a 400 meter crest and a volume of 1, 355, 000 cubic meters embankment, the Tailings dam was designed to have an initial production capacity of 26, 5 million tons per year of iron-ore.
