Luanda Bay inaugurated by the President José Eduardo dos Santos

The President of the Republic of Angola, José Eduardo dos Santos, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mota-Engil Group, António Mota, were present at the opening ceremony of the New Bay of Luanda. Now the area boasts a new, modern and cosmopolitan image, fostered by an urban requalification plan providing this space with conditions to offer the inhabitants of Luanda moments of leisure, pleasure and well-being.

The project promoted by Sociedade Baía de Luanda, SA, allowed to equip the coastline area of the Luanda Bay with modern road infrastructures, green spaces, cultural, sports and shopping areas that significantly improve the offer and quality of life in Luanda meaning better traffic flow, improved environment ( with highlight to the cleanup of the Bay), the possibility of practicing sports and other aspects patented in the project that afford those living, working and visiting Luanda greater comfort.

In a project of great responsibility due to its technical component and its relevance for Luanda and for a country where Mota-Engil has been present for 66 years, the construction consortium complied with deadlines and required quality in a contract involving an overall investment of 300 million euros.
