Mota-Engil wins two awards in the Investor Relations & Governance Awards

The Mota-Engil Group was awarded the Best Stock Market Performance Award and João Vermelho was given the award for Best Investor Relations Officer.

Recognising those who have stood out in the Investor Relations market over the past year in Portugal by Deloitte and the financial newspaper Diário Económico, the Mota-Engil Group was recognized with two awards.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, António Mota received the award for Best Stock Market Performance recognizing that in 2013 the shares of the Group increased in value by 175%. António Mota declared that the award “belongs to a wide range of company employees who work not only in Portugal but all over the world” and that it is the product of “a strategy drawn up eight years ago and which has been completely fulfilled” by the previous Board of Directors as well as the current one.

João Vermelho of the Market Relations Committee once again received the award in the category of Investor Relations Officer which he also received in 2007. João Vermelho believes that the coherence of the strategy of a group of the size of Mota-Engil is a major contribution to this level of recognition.
