Mota-Engil Africa starts mining contract in Zimbawe

Mota-Engil has shifted Zimbabwe’s mining industry paradigm thanks to the high quality equipment that comprises the largest fleet of the kind in the country.

The project foresees to employ 180-200 workers during work peaks, counting with a team 100% comprised by Zimbabwean citizens. The mining area is located in Zimbabwe’s northwest area, 335 km from the country’s second largest city, Bulawayo, and 780 km from the capital, Harare. Coal is a strategic resource to Zimbabwe and Mota-Engil’s involvement in coal exploitation places the company in a strategic position in order to achieve other mining contracts.
