With the aim of raising awareness among employees and involving the school community in the defense, protection and recovery of forests, in Mexico, World Tree Day was celebrated with reforestation campaigns that involved employees of the Barranca Larga, Parque Aztlán, Aeropuerto Internacional de Tepic and Aeropuerto Internacional Puerto Escondido projects, and students from local secondary and primary schools.
The initiatives included awareness-raising activities, planting trees in areas near the projects and in the outdoor spaces of the schools involved, donation of trees for planting at home, and distribution of reusable water bottles to reduce pollution caused by the use of disposables.
In total, 395 trees were planted.
