In alignment and consultation with the sustainability strategy and policies of the Mota-Engil Group, in which the valorization of the human factor is an aspect of capital importance, the “Mota-Engil Community” program, through the various lines of support that compose it, seeks to meet the main needs faced by workers and their families with lower incomes and which should therefore deserve special attention.
Acting as a strategic partner of the Group, FMAM seeks to support and value the human capital of the company’s internal community, responding to its
problems and voice to their aspirations, through a set of seven programs:
SCHOLARSHIPS
It aims to promote a policy of equal opportunities, which contributes to raising the qualification levels of young people and serves as a stimulus to their academic performance. It aims to support access to higher education for the children of employees with lower economic resources, through the attribution of scholarships. The value of the scholarship is €3,000 per year and beneficiary.
FUND 1+2
It acts in addition to the Social Support Fund in order to respond to emergencies that involve urgent expenses for which the worker does not have the financial capacity and put human dignity at risk.
“EARLY CHILDHOOD” PROGRAM
Childcare support, which aims to facilitate the attendance of daycare centers through scholarships to support the payment of the respective monthly fees for workers with lower economic resources. Offer of a “Baby Kit” consisting of a set of essential, “environmentally friendly” goods for early childhood care and the offer of a “pharmacy voucher” to all workers who are fathers or mothers, regardless of their economic condition.
FINANCIAL OFFICE
This program aims to provide support to people in a situation of over-indebtedness or at risk of financial imbalance, through a financial diagnosis or support in financial recovery.
HEALTH FUND+
Support in the acquisition of prescription medicines reimbursed by the National Health Service, by employees and their members of their household, financing the non-reimbursed component.
SOCIAL SUPPORT FUND
It is especially intended to address eventualities in the personal or family sphere of employees that may result in the unexpected deprivation of income or increased expenses that may jeopardize the security and economic stability of the employee or his family.
