In response to a fatal accident that occurred in the mining area, a “Global Safety Stand-Down – Mining” action was promoted. This initiative decreed a date on which all Mota-Engil mining projects would carry out a one-hour stoppage of operation.
The action was led by the top management of each of the mining projects in which, in addition to other risks and preventive measures associated with the operation, the root causes at the origin of the aforementioned fatality were addressed.
